A NOTE ON THE DESIGNER: Marjorie Michael started her business in 1948, and her designs were considered on par with those of high-end designers Peggy Hunt and Dorothy O'Hara. She only used natural fibers such as silk and cotton (mostly imported from France and Italy), as she believed synthetic fabrics were not the high quality she wanted to maintain for garments bearing her label.
