C O N D I T I O N
Very good vintage condition. Freshly cleaned and ready to wear! Presents beautifully! It appears that the dress had previously been over-dyed; I'm unsure of what the original colors were (likely white with pink splotches, judging from fabric hidden in the seams), but it looks quite lovely now! The side seams were previously taken in, so I let them out and reenforced those seams; there are suuuper tiny stitch holes from where the seams were let out, which is only seen when very closely inspected. The straps have been re-smocked. There was a very small hole on the bust, so I added a couple darts that blend in with the center gathers; this looks very intentional and isn't noticed when worn. There was a tear on front of the left strap, which has been reenforced from the inside and sewn along the edging again, so that it is very strong and will not tear again. The seashells/seaweed had originally been screen printed on the fabric, but it has faded from decades of being loved; it's still visible, but it is a more subtle element to the print now. The original zipper would have been metal, so this nylon one would be a recent replacement.
